Statment of Faith
- > We believe in God, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. One God in three persons
- > We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was born by virgin birth (Luke 1:27), lived a sinless life (Hebrews 4:15), died on a cross to pay the price for the sins of the world (Romans 6:10) and physically rose from the dead on the third day (Matthew 28:1-10). He is the one and only sacrifice that is required to make attonement for our sins (Hebrews 7:27).
- > We believe all have sinned (Revelation 20:11-15) and fallen short of God's required standards (Romans 3:23). Sin is both a state we are born into and something we do through our thoughts, words and actions. The wages of sin is death, and apart from the work of Jesus Christ, which each individual must appropriate for themelves, human beings are headed for hell (John 3:16).
- > Heaven and Hell are both realities (Hebrews 9:24 & 2 Peter 2:4). Heaven is the destination of all those who have come into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 5:1). Hell, the place of eternal punishment for the unrighteous, is more terrible than language can express - a state of complete isolation from the presence of God.
- > We believe that there will be a day of judgement as described in (Matthew 25:31-46). Those who have been saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, will stand uncondemned, with their acts of righteousness bearing testimony to the presence and work of the Holy Spirit in their lives.
- > We believe that the Bible is the eternal Word of God and our ultimate authority under God. It is divinely inspired, infallible and complete in form and content (Psalm 119:105).
