This sounds like the confident, upbeat, assured statement of faith from someone with an eye on the future. But it was actually the prayer of a man entombed in the belly of a big fish, facing certain death from drowning or worse! To lift up a song of praise in the worst of situations can feel like a sacrifice, but it can foster incredible hope in the God who saves! Lord, as I turn to You and choose to praise Your name today, would you stir in me that same trust and faith as Jonah, with a determination to see Your plans fulfilled in and through my life. May the facts of my situation never replace the truth of who You are and what You can do. Amen ⚓️😊
