‘These things’ Jesus told us were about being grafted to Him, remaining in His love and obeying His commands! We don’t usually equate joy with obedience but Jesus is clear that if we follow him and do what He says (love God and love others) it will result in an overflow of His joy! A joy that will strengthen our hearts, a joy that will have a contagious effect on the world around us!
