We will always prioritise, and make time for, the things we really want to do. But the warning from Jesus here is not to give the best of ourselves to that which doesn’t last, and to take stock of what it is that gets the best of my time and my energy, for this is the measure of what I truly value the most!
Lord, help me not to neglect my relationship with You in favour of pursuing the pleasure, comfort or status that this world has to offer! Help me to invest my best in my family, in church community, and in building into the lives of others so that hell would be plundered and heaven populated! Help me to seek Your Kingdom first and Your right way of living so that my life would leave a legacy of hope that always points to You, Amen 🙏🏼
