Loving myself and trusting myself, independent of God, leads to a life of selfishness and heartache. Looking to myself for answers and solutions will always lead to doubt and confusion when it comes to the things of God. But when I love Jesus and put my faith in Him, when I look to Him and trust in what He has done for me, this is what leads to salvation and joy! Lord, help me to walk by faith and according to Your word, rather than by sight and by my feelings, that I may experience Your glorious, inexpressible joy, that strength to help me stay the path.
