“A certain man was there who had an illness for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he had been in that condition now a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be healed?”” John 5:5-6 MEV
I read a post this morning that said, ‘Don’t hunger for progress if you have no appetite for the process. There is always a process to progress.’ When Jesus asked the man, ‘Do you want to be healed?’ It seemed obvious that the man wanted to be well, but after 38 years of living with his condition healing would mean living differently, changing his daily routine, not hanging out with the same people, moving in a new way and going in another direction! Was he prepared for that? In the same way, we so often want things to be different, to progress, but when Jesus says to us, Rise UP, move,’ are we prepared to do what He says and go where He tells us? Lord, help me to commit to the process that is needed to see the progress. Amen 🙏🏼🙌🏼🙄
