The confidence of our salvation // 24-01-20

“But let us who live in the light be clearheaded, protected by the armour of faith and love, and wearing as our helmet the confidence of our salvation.” 1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:8‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The word confidence means, with trust or full trust! When I have confidence, full trust, in the salvation of God, it acts as a protection over my mind just like a helmet! Because that confident trust that I am saved reminds me that I am loved, that I am chosen and valued, that my life has worth, that I am not a hopeless case, that God believes in me, that He has fought for me and paid a high price for me, that I am His child, that I can do what He has called me and saved me to do! Temptation always starts in the mind; doubt, worry and fear are stirred up and elevated in my thoughts, but knowing I am saved acts like a force field preventing those thoughts from overwhelming me and taking control. I can be clearheaded, focused and confident, having the mind of Christ, when I put that helmet on!! Do you have confidence in your salvation today? You can ask God right now to save you, to give you a new start and an eternal future! That’s what Jesus won for you!! He is your Saviour, which means you ARE loved, and you CAN do all things that He calls you to do, through Him who strengthens you! 🛡🗡💪🏼❤️
