It is thought that as Jesus was hanging on the cross He was reciting Psalm 22, a Messianic prophecy entitled, A cry of anguish and a song of praise.’ Go read it in the Amplified version and be amazed at how it so accurately describes the experience of Jesus as He was being crucified, a form of execution that hadn’t even been invented when the Psalms were written! Check out how the Psalm ends! 😮 Sin might have the effect of separating us from God, but because of Jesus this all changes and our anguish can turn into praise too!
