I have called you by name // 18-05-20

“But now, O Jacob, listen to the Lord who created you. O Israel, the one who formed you says, “Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine.” Isaiah‬ ‭43:1‬ ‭NLT‬‬

To be ransomed is to obtain freedom by means of someone paying a price! That’s what God did for you and me through the death of Jesus. He paid the price to secure my freedom and win me back from slavery to sin so that I could know my true identity as His much loved child! God knows my name (I like to read those verses replacing the names Jacob and Israel with my name, try it). He knows who He created me to be and what He created me for, so the more I get to know Him, then the more I become the real me and can do the things He has chosen for me to do! Lord, thank You for buying my freedom and claiming me as Your own, what an amazing Father you are! Help me to get to know you more this week and to live in the light of Your amazing love and grace. Amen 🙏🏼😊
