I’m challenged by Samuel’s response! Initially he hadn’t been aware that it was even God speaking to him, but when he realised who it was, then he was ready and willing to listen! I sometimes wonder how attentive I really am as I open up my Bible or pray? Am I more concerned with having my own thoughts and feelings validated and making sure that God hears me and serves my needs? Or am I ready and willing to hear what God really wants to say to me and to go follow after Him? Lord, help me to pause, to hear Your voice as I read Your word, and to be attentive to Your call. Speak Lord, for your servant is listening. Amen 🙏🏼👂🏻
