Jesus taught us to call God, Father, and He is everything that a perfect Father should be. He is the founder, the creator, and the source of all that we need. He is our provider and our protector. He is love personified, demonstrating that love by laying down His life for us! Always available, always approachable, always ready to listen, to comfort and to guide us with His wisdom! He is my ‘Abba,’ a word that describes the intimate, trusting relationship between a child and their daddy! This is how God wants us to know Him! This Sunday is Father’s Day, a day for celebrating the great men in our lives, not always an easy day for those who don’t have an earthly father, but it is a day when all of us can celebrate knowing we have a Heavenly Father!
