“If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them gets lost, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others in the wilderness and go to search for the one that is lost until he finds it? And when he has found it, he will joyfully carry it home on his shoulders.” Luke 15:4-5 NLT
Make no mistake, God’s heart is always for the lost! Jesus told this parable in direct response to criticism He was getting about who He was choosing to spend time with and eat with, the notorious sinners, those who seemed furthest away from the things of God. But He was on a rescue mission, showing that no one was so far gone that God couldn’t reach them with His love, no one so damaged that He couldn’t redeem them with His power, no one so lost that He couldn’t find them and bring them home! Lord, give me that same heart for those who don’t yet know how valuable they are to You, and send me on that same rescue and recovery mission. Amen 🙏🏼❤️
