Our consumer society is fuelled by the belief that happiness and significance is found in getting the next new thing, upgrading to a better model, acquiring more, focusing on doing what I want and chasing what I think I need! But God knows how futile that is, just a poor substitute for what we really need which is to know Him and to pursue His will, everything else is just temporary! Lord Jesus, help me to focus on You more today, to get to know You better, and to fully realise the rich and satisfying life that You promised to all those who truly follow You. Amen 🙏🏼😊
