“But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.” Matthew 6:33 AMPC
The Message version puts it like this, “Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.” We often try to sort things out in our own way, with our own wisdom, going to God as a last resort when life gets out of control, but here we are told to seek Him first, to live everyday with Jesus as King, seeking His way and doing things His way, and the result will be that He gives us everything else that we need! That sounds like such a great deal to me and would save so much stress and worry! Lord, help me to look to You and to put You first today and May I know the reality of Your peace. Amen 🙏🏼
