“But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” Romans 5:8 NLT
Sometimes we sell the Gospel short, we tell people to come to Jesus exactly as you are, He loves you as you are, and He accepts you as you are, and that’s as far as we go! And whilst that is all true, Jesus did die for us while we were still sinners, that’s not the end of the deal, and His love and power extend beyond just saving us, to sanctifying (transforming) us! We shouldn’t expect to stay the way He found us, we are not meant to continue with the same broken ways of thinking or living. He says, ‘I want to restore your life, I want to redeem your life, I have good plans for your life!’ Lord, thank You for loving me completely, for saving me just as I am. Now help me to trust You with the changes You want to make in me that I might become the masterpiece you made me to be. Amen 🙏🏼
