The word ‘believe’ here is so much more than having a vague idea that God exists or that Jesus lived and then died on a cross. It actually means to adhere to, trust in, rely on and have faith in! You can believe that bread will nourish and sustain you, but unless you actually eat the bread, that belief won’t do you any good! Lord Jesus, thank You for being my daily bread. Come fill me, nourish me and sustain me as I feed on Your Word, help me to stick to You like glue, to trust In Your will no matter what the circumstances, to rely on You for everything I need, and to live in the truth that only You have the words of eternal life! May my belief in You be expressed in real faith, hope and love today. Amen 🙏🏼
