“How shall we sing the Lord’s song in a strange land?” Psalm 137:4 AMPC
We are certainly in a strange land right now compared to how our lives were just a few months ago, and as it stands, even when we were able to meet together, we were not allowed to sing! So there is a logistical question when it comes to ‘How shall we sing?’ But more than that, with the impact of covid on our health and our economy, and with lockdown rules affecting people’s mental health and social connections the last thing most of us would think of doing is singing anything, let alone a song of praise and victory! But it is vital that we do. The Lord’s song helps us remember who God is and what He has promised; the Lord’s song renews hope, the Lord’s song strengthens us, body, soul and spirit as we wait upon Him. Lord, put a song in my mind today and help me to sing it out and declare Your words of truth and life. Amen 🙌🏼🙏🏼
