When the right time came // 15-12-20

“But when the right time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman, subject to the law. God sent him to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law, so that he could adopt us as his very own children.” Galatians‬ ‭4:4-5‬ ‭NLT

‬‬God’s ‘right time’ can often seem like it comes at the wrong time to us! Mary should have been resting at home in preparation for the birth of her child, and yet she had to travel to Bethlehem, and when they got there, no where to stay! This must have felt like the wrong time, and yet Jesus arrived in exactly the right place at the right time! We tend to measure whether something is right based on feelings and circumstances, but that is not a good basis for deciding whether we can trust God or not! Father, thank You for Your good, pleasing and perfect plan for my life, for buying freedom for me and for adopting me as Your child. Help me to trust in You and to trust in Your perfect timing. Amen

Be near me Lord Jesus I ask Thee to stay
Close by me forever and love me I pray
Bless all the dear children in Thy tender care
And fit us for heaven to live with Thee there (Away in a manger)
