Passion is defined as the suffering I am willing to endure to accomplish the goal! It’s amazing what inconvenience, discomfort, or even pain, we are willing to put up with if we are passionate about reaching a particular goal, whether that be losing weight, getting fit, achieving a qualification, saving for that holiday, or training for a specific career! It’s having a goal in our sights that fuels our passion! Which begs the question, if I am going to be a passionate follower of Christ what is the goal I need to keep in my sights? Well His goal is my goal, to see lives saved, to reach the lost and the broken, to make disciples, that’s what will change this world, transform people’s lives and impact eternity! But that isn’t easy, it will mean sacrifice and it’s why I need to keep my soul close to God’s heart, strong in His love, passionate in my relationship with Him. Lord save me from a passionless life and stir my heart to pursue Yours. As I fix my eyes on You, motivate me to a life worth living, and mark it with passion! Amen 🙏🏼
