The truth is that we don’t deserve anything from God, none of us can earn or win His favour on our own merits. And yet He has gifted freedom to us anyway, bought it for us at an incredible price to Himself, and because of this, because of Jesus, we can know what it means to be truly forgiven. This is the freedom He purchased with His blood for us, this is what forgiveness means – freedom from the obligation to sin and from the penalty of sin, freedom from guilt, freedom from shame, freedom from the past, freedom to revel in His love, freedom to know the richness of His kindness and grace! Lord, in the light of all You have done for me, help me to live thankful and obedient to You today. Amen 🙌🏼
