Lot and his family were being saved, their town and the life they had known were about to be destroyed and they were told to run for their lives, and not to look back or stop anywhere in the valley! But his wife stopped and did look back. Maybe she didn’t want to let go of the life she had known, but the result was death! God’s plan of salvation is also to save us from destruction, but we have to trust Him and let go of what was, no stopping in the valley, no turning back, just keep running after Jesus, He offers a new life, a Kingdom life with different values and goals, an eternal life that surpasses anything in this world, let’s take hold of that! Lord, forgetting the past and looking forward to all that lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize, please help me to let go of life on my terms, and experience life on Yours.
