What an amazing prayer and expectation as we enter this new year! It might be counter intuitive to what the world tells us we need – to be true to ourselves and to follow our hearts – and it’s not easy to seek God’s will above what I think I want, but it’s clear here that when we do, when we invest in getting to know Jesus, when our lives are centred around Him, that’s when good fruit, eternal fruit, is produced. That’s when I grow and become all that I could be. That’s when I realise that I am actually here to honour Him and to please Him, not myself – His way always exceeds my way! Lord, I pray for that spiritual wisdom and understanding, help me to seek Your will and to be obedient to Your Word. Come and take Your rightful place as King of my heart and Lord of my life, that this might be a year of real fruitfulness. Amen 🙏🏼😊
