I am so inspired by these two men, talk about facing unjust and difficult circumstances, they had been severely beaten, thrown into the inner dungeon, their feet in stocks, no possible way out of their situation humanly speaking, with every reason to complain, to doubt God’s care, to choose a more comfortable path. Yet here they were praying, singing hymns, trusting God anyway, being incredible witnesses for Jesus to the other prisoners – what a response! And if you read on what a miraculous outcome! Lord help me never to underestimate the power of singing and praising You whatever the situations I face. May I too have the faith of Paul and Silas, and the determination to press in no matter what!
