“By this faith you are saved [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, and set apart for His purpose], if you hold firmly to the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain [just superficially and without complete commitment].” 1 Corinthians 15:2 AMP
The faith Paul is talking about here, is the good news of salvation that becomes the bedrock of our lives, how seriously do we take it, that Jesus died for our sins, was buried and then rose again, appearing to His disciples? Knowing I am loved and forgiven by God changes me, knowing Jesus is alive and that the same power that raised Him from the dead lives in me, changes how I live. Being a Christian is not just having a belief that Jesus died for me so I get a free pass to heaven some day, faith is a doing word that now actively seeks what God wants for my life. I’ve been bought with a price, God what do you want to do with me now? There is such a peace when I know my life is in God’s hands, I trusted you for my salvation now I trust you with everything else. Father, help me to live this day to the full, being true to You in every way. Jesus, help me to give myself away to others, being kind to everyone I meet. Spirit, help me to love the lost, proclaiming Christ in all I do and say. Amen 🙌🏼😊
