It is so reassuring to wake up and know God is with me; to start the day asking God to share His thoughts about me, His plans with me, in the security of His love for me. After all, He has a much better viewpoint than I do! I was teaching on this Psalm last night at a Celebrate Recovery meeting, and it got me excited and determined again to make every effort to be in the centre of His will, “Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.” Psalms 139:23-24 NLT
Amen!! This is such a powerful prayer to pray, but be prepared for God to take you at your word, and maybe interrupt your plans. He so wants to save us from making destructive diversions, but if we’ll just trust and obey it will keep us on that road of recovery that leads to real life, that’s where I want to be, how about you?
