“Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Saviour], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life].” 2 Corinthians 5:17 AMP
Iwas reminded this week of a song we used to sing in church many years ago:

What a statement. We can’t manufacture any of that on our own, it’s only through the work of the Holy Spirit, an awakening, that brings a new life! Lord, wake us up, open our eyes, may we see You. Help me to throw off the old things, and to embrace the new, to remove anything not fit for purpose anymore, in order to move in the way and the direction that You are leading me. May I know that joy that is not limited by circumstance, and the passion that comes from being fully alive to You. Amen 🙌🏼🔥❤️🔥
