This might be a paraphrase of the original text but I love the way it describes the relationship that we can have with God, ‘adventurously expectant!’ Not fearful or boring, but alive and vibrant. In this time of advent let’s be looking to Jesus with anticipation and excitement, not getting weary and empty in the waiting, but getting enlarged and ready for all that He wants to do in us and through us! Lord, I know that adventure can be thrilling but it can also be tiring, I know it comes with a sense of daring and risk, but that can also be scary and it challenges our comfort. Give me the strength and courage today to ask the question, ‘What’s next Papa?’ trusting that You have good plans and and an exciting future ahead. Help me to let go of anything that is keeping me from reaching for those greater things, and stir my heart today to be adventurously expectant. Amen 🙏🏼❤️🔥
