What do you want me to do for you? // 24-01-23

“”What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked.” Mark‬ ‭10‬:‭51‬ ‭NLT‬‬

This question was directed towards a man called Bartimaeus, who had been born blind, and was calling out for Jesus to have mercy on him. Wasn’t it obvious what he wanted from Jesus? If Jesus posed the same question to you today what would be your response? Maybe God wants us to get more specific in our prayers as we approach Him? What are we trusting Him for? Maybe, like it says in the book of James chapter 4, we don’t have what we want because we just don’t ask God for it? “What do you want me to do for you?” The reply of Bartimaeus was, “I want to see!” He asked for the impossible, humanly speaking, but his faith was focused on the One who can do anything, and he saw for the very first time! The result was him following Jesus! Lord, I want to see too, so that I can follow You more clearly and more closely! So open my eyes today, spiritually speaking, I want to see You. Amen 🙌🏼🙏🏼
