“I love you, Lord; you are my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my saviour; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety.” Psalms 18:1-2 NLT
Iwoke up this morning thinking about limpets! What is going on in my mind? Lol 😂 What even is a limpet? Here’s what I just read: ‘Limpets have a strong muscular foot which allows them to hold on tightly to rocks. At low tide, the limpet will clamp its shell down tight to prevent itself from losing water and drying out. This also stops them from being pulled off the rocks by birds and other predators.’ For anyone who is feeling spiritually dry right now or is feeling under attack or pulled away from the Rock that is Jesus, this is a reminder to exercise some spiritual muscle, and to cling tightly to Jesus. He is your shield, He is your place of safety. It might feel like stormy waters are surrounding you right now, but they cannot move you if you focus on sticking as close as you can to Him! Lord, may I be like a limpet today, so attached to You that I am immovable, steadfast, well watered and well protected. Thank You for being my Rock of salvation. Amen 🙌🏼🛡️
