This is the second of the ‘I Am’ statements of Jesus as recorded in the Gospel of John! Light enables sight and makes things visible! In a world that is engulfed by spiritual darkness Jesus is saying that He is the light that we need to see clearly, and to walk confidently. Physical light is necessary for physical life and spiritual light is just as vital to be spiritually alive. Without Jesus, our source of light, we are just walking dead! Lord, thank you that even though darkness closes in, it is no match for light! As I look to You Jesus, as I read Your Word, and listen for Your voice, may I see light that illuminates my next step. And may Your light be reflected through me so that I become light to this world too! Help me to walk in Your light today. Amen 💡🙏🏼
