This picture of God’s Word puts me in mind of a surgeon’s scalpel, that in the right hands is used to accurately find and cut out what is destructive to our bodies. God’s Word does the same in our lives as we come to Him willing to undergo that process of being made holy. It might look scary, I mean who wants their innermost thoughts and desires to be exposed? It sounds uncomfortable and messy, but surgery always is! The result though is freedom from things that are trying to kill us, freedom from pain, and instead a renewed sense of peace, wholeness! Lord, thank You for the heart surgery you have already done on me. As I read and study Your Word would You continue to use it to uncover and cut out all that is keeping me spiritually unhealthy. Thank You for Your Word that speaks life into me. Help me to use it to bring life to others. Amen 📖🙏🏼
