“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realise what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17 NLT
I shared this verse a couple of weeks ago but it is worth repeating again! God’s Word is active and the goal, as we read it, is to set us to action, this isn’t about just helping us form beliefs in our minds, but about transforming our very lives. The Bible teaches us TO DO what is right, and prepares and equips us TO DO every good work. What is on your ‘to do’ list I wonder when it comes to the call of God on your life? In what ways do you and I need to be transformed in our thinking, our speaking, and in our doing if we want to be faithful followers of Jesus, and effective ambassadors for His Kingdom? Lord, You said that we would do the same things that You did, and even greater things (John 14:12). As I read your Word today please continue to lead me, correct me, change me, train me, and equip me TO DO the good works that You have planned for me to do. Amen 👆🏼🙏🏼
