“I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13 NLT
Here’s a definition of hope that I found: to cherish a desire with anticipation! It’s that active expectation of something good happening based on what I know to be true. And this verse from the book of Romans states that God is the source of hope. We can expect joy and peace as we trust that His promises are true, knowing that He has already demonstrated amazing love to us by sending a Saviour, knowing that just as Jesus said He would send us an advocate, a comforter in the Holy Spirit! We are not alone, we have not been forgotten or forsaken, God is working His purposes out and because He has already fulfilled so many promises, we can trust that He will fulfil the rest. Lord, may I overflow with confident hope today through the power of the Holy Spirit whatever I am facing. Fill me completely with joy and peace as I trust in You. Amen ❤️🙏🏼
