And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” 2 Corinthians 5:18-20 NLT
Christians carry this wonderful message of reconciliation, of forgiveness, of restored relationship with our Creator, our Father God, through the saving work of Jesus! We know that all it takes to receive that new life and to experience that reconciliation is a decision, a heart response to say yes to that invitation from Jesus to come to Him; it’s an action of turning around from the direction I have been going in without God, and trusting that the death and resurrection of Jesus counts for me. We know that in that act of repentance we get washed clean, our sins not counted against us anymore, guilt and shame and fear no longer ruling over us! We get set free to live differently with a restored sense of our true identity and with a God given purpose to see others reconciled too! It’s a message of hope and joy that Christians carry, a message that brings the peace that this world is so desperately looking for as we speak for God! Lord, it grieves me that so many don’t yet know what they can have in You, and that the Good News message just isn’t being heard in so many places. Forgive me for the times I have kept that message to myself, or hidden it by just fitting in with the world around me. Help me to take my role as Your ambassador seriously today, and may people be able to see in me the difference that being reconciled to You has truly made in my life. Amen 👆🏼🙏🏼❤️
