“For with the heart a person believes [in Christ as Saviour] resulting in his justification [that is, being made righteous—being freed of the guilt of sin and made acceptable to God]; and with the mouth he acknowledges and confesses [his faith openly], resulting in and confirming [his] salvation.” Romans 10:10 AMP
Confession is an expression of what I believe is true. From a Christian perspective it’s about coming into agreement with God, with the truth of who He is, what He has already done, what He already knows, and how He already sees it. To confess is to declare, to tell or make known, to affirm one’s faith in, to admit or acknowledge! When ‘Jesus IS Lord’ becomes the confession of my mouth, from a heart decision to believe (to trust in, to cling to and to rely on Him) it changes everything! Thank You Jesus for dying for me, taking my place, freeing me from the guilt of sin, and making me righteous when I was anything but. There is no one like You! Forgive me for the times that I still kid myself I’m in charge and know better than You. Help me to worship You alone, to centre my life around You, my Saviour, my Lord, and my King. Amen 👆🏼🙏🏼❤️
