The disciples at this point were in the middle of a storm, rowing with all their might against the heavy waves! They didn’t even recognise their friend and teacher as he walked right near them, but these were his reassuring words in response to their fear; a reminder that He was right there with them, that fear did not have to dictate the outcome that day! Eight words that are worth remembering today as we turn and fix our eyes on Jesus, “Don’t be afraid. Take courage. I am here!” Lord, thank You for Your saving presence, with arms that are able to lift me up. Thank You that You are right beside me, the only One who can rebuke the wind and speak calm to the waves. Teach me to trust You and grow me strong in my faith of You this week I pray. Amen 👆🏼🙏🏼
