“Then the high priest asked him, “Are you the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed One?” Jesus said, “I Am. And you will see the Son of Man seated in the place of power at God’s right hand and coming on the clouds of heaven.”” Mark 14:61-62 NLT
As I opened my Bible App this morning I had this desire to read the words of Jesus, so I turned to the Gospel of Mark. This chapter is when Jesus was betrayed, arrested and taken to the home of the high priest. His answer to the question of His identity and authority couldn’t have been clearer, ‘I Am!’ Just like all those in the room that night, we now have a choice whether we are going to believe Him or not, to trust Him or not. Either He was a deluded madman or a liar, or He was telling the truth! ‘I Am’ what a reassuring statement to read on a dark Tuesday morning; that Jesus is who He says He is; that He is seated in the place of power; that He is present with me even now; that He is coming back according to His time and plan. Lord, I choose to believe You today, to put my trust in You, the great I Am, who was, who is, and who is to come! Thank You for saving me, now help me to live in the light of that truth today.
