Do this in remembrance // 01-03-24

“During the meal, Jesus took and blessed the bread, broke it, and gave it to his disciples: Take, eat. This is my body. Taking the cup and thanking God, he gave it to them: Drink this, all of you. This is my blood, God’s new covenant poured out for many people for the forgiveness of sins.” Matthew‬ ‭26‬:‭26‬-‭29‬ ‭MSG

‬‬Jesus gave up his life for us, enabling us to be forgiven, freed from guilt, and restored in our communion with God! Every time we remember what He did and focus on His body broken and His blood spilt we are reminded of how forgiven we are, completely! This is why sharing communion regularly is so important, and why Jesus told us to remember Him as often as we break bread together! We can very quickly get pulled back into a guilt mindset if we are not constantly reminded of how forgiven we really are and what it took to pay for that forgiveness! Lord, thank You for saving me and for giving us this way to remember, to stay focused on all that keeps us in that place of grace and peace! May I never forget the sacrifice You made for me to set me free. Amen 👆🏼❤️

This Sunday at 4pm is our next opportunity to share communion together as a church family. Bring your whole household to come and join in this celebration of remembrance 🍞🍷
