When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.” Isaiah 43:1-2 NLT
I’m always careful not to just lift a verse out of its original context and apply it to my personal situation, but this verse from Isaiah has proven so true in my life and is a promise I totally believe we can claim for ourselves! Read it again, and where it reads Jacob and then Israel insert your own name instead! Because the truth is that I have been created by Him for a purpose, and He has ransomed me, paid for my life with the blood of Jesus, calling me home and showing me how loved I am and where I belong. So there is never a need to be afraid or to doubt my value! It’s worth noting that there is no promise of an easy journey through this life, but what I can know is that when I feel out of my depth He won’t leave me, when difficulties come I won’t be overcome, and even when things are painful and out of my control, it won’t consume me, because God IS my Saviour! Lord thank You for reminding me today that I belong to You! You formed me, You chose me, You ARE with me, so I CAN trust in You. Amen 👆🏼🙌🏼❤️
