To prophesy has very little to do with foretelling the future but everything to do with speaking a now word from God into a situation or over a person. True prophecy will always be in line with scripture, it will never contradict it and it will always seek to strengthen, to encourage and to comfort! It will never condemn, but it might convict, not always being easy to hear, it may challenge our human perceptions and desires, but at its heart it will always have a love for people, a wanting God’s best for people. It’s a powerful gift! Lord, I’m seeking after You, whatever gift You have for me, I want to receive it, so that I can be better equipped to serve Your church and to serve Your purposes. Give me opportunity to put my spiritual gifts to work this week I pray, show me who You want me to share them with, and use me for Your glory. Amen 🎁🙏🏼
