When I was little I loved playing hide and seek, counting to 100 and then shouting out, ‘Coming, ready or not!’ There was a thrill in the search and a joy when the other person was found! It wouldn’t have been so great tho if my heart wasn’t really in it and I just sat down and waited for the hider to come to me! Now it’s not the case that God is trying to be distant from us. He is not avoiding us or making it difficult to be found, but He does want us to engage in relationship with Him, to experience the thrill and the joy of discovering more of who He is as we set our hearts 100% on knowing Him, as we read His Word and as we seek His will! Lord, I’m opening my eyes right now, I’m making that turn, I’m calling out for You to hear me and I’m coming to find You! Thank You that You are always ready to be found. Amen 🙏🏼
