God is not some hard taskmaster, constantly demanding that we do stuff, busyness does not equate to godliness, lol. He designed us for purposeful work, yes, but He also designed us to rest! From the way we breathe, to the beat of our hearts, from being awake to needing our proper sleep, there is a rhythm of work and rest, that keeps us healthy and able to function effectively. We need to ensure we have times of going to a quiet place and resting awhile, and even better to do that with Jesus! For the next week, Rach and I are taking some time out to rest, getting some recovery time in one of my fav places, where I grew up in Cornwall. Please pray that the rest we get keeps us well, and brings us back with a renewed energy for all the things God has called us to do. I won’t be sending any texts out next week, but do keep reading the Bible, and why not go encourage someone else with a verse who you think might benefit from it? Much love
