“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians 4:6 NLT
The encouragement yesterday was to pray continually, today it’s to pray about everything! There is nothing we cannot talk to God about, no circumstance or time that He is not available. The text goes on to say that the result of doing this is experiencing God’s peace! Yes, it’s ok to pour out our hearts to God, to cast our cares upon Him, to ask for His help, provision and guidance. But let’s not worry pray, we just need to pray simply and honestly and then leave it with Him. How? By then turning our thoughts to those things we can be thankful for, reminded of all Jesus has done for us and enabled through His death and resurrection! If God has done that, the greatest demonstration of His love and power, then surely He will give us everything else that we need? Lord, there is so much to worry about, help me to trust You with it, to be ok with not having all the answers, and to feel ok about receiving and feeling Your peace when everything tells me I should be stressed. Thank You for always being there, my friend and King. Amen 🙌🏼😊
