How to practice love // 27-01-22

“Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.” Ephesians‬ ‭4:2‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Growing in community is not easy because none of us humans are perfect, we all have fault lines that have the potential to cause issues. But this is where we get to exercise real love, and to practice grace if we make it our goal to stay humble and gentle. This is where church community needs to be different, because like Jesus said, it’s our love for each other that will show the world that we are His disciples, love that is patient, kind, not jealous boastful, proud or rude; that does not demand it’s own way, is not irritable and keeps no record of wrong. Love that never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance! I am so grateful for those who have loved me like that, who have made allowance for my faults, people who have not given up on me. Lord, teach me how to love like that more, that our church community would be stronger and healthier and known for being like You. Amen 🙏🏼❤️
