You are my God // 28/02/22

“I have heard the many rumours about me, and I am surrounded by terror. My enemies conspire against me, plotting to take my life. But I am trusting you, O Lord, saying, “You are my God! My future is in your hands”” Psalms 31:13-15 NLT

So much has happened since the last text I sent out, we’ve had the storms and all the disruption and destruction they caused, and now the escalating situation in Ukraine. So much outside of our control, but we have a refuge we can run to! A couple of days ago a local rabbi in Ukraine asked Christian leaders to recite this psalm together as a prayer for Ukraine. I’ve just chosen three verses here but please go and read the whole Psalm. If, like me, you don’t know what or how to pray when it comes to situations like this, then this is a great psalm to use, and a great starting place for prayer. Lord, I am going into this week with my eyes set on You. Save me, lead me, and use me for Your glorious purposes. Amen 🙏🏼
