We need to pray like that because we have such a tendency to go off and do our own thing, getting off track and onto paths that take us away from what God wants for our lives. That’s why Jesus encouraged us to pray, ‘lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil’. Let’s keep our spiritual eyes open, ‘Lord, I need You to lead me so that I don’t find myself in vulnerable situations that will give access to the enemy who just wants to steal, kill, and destroy me.’ So I pray daily, moment by moment and I read His Word, and I heed it, It is my manual for travelling His way, the way of life everlasting!
