Encouragement // 12-10-22

“Encourage the exhausted, and make staggering knees firm. Say to those with an anxious and panic-stricken heart, “Be strong, fear not!” Isaiah 35:3-4 AMP

There is a ministry of encouragement that is so vital! Exhausted people need courage to not give up, those who are feeling unstable need something that is rock solid to stand on. If no one is speaking truth to us and over us then the uncertainty and irrationality of circumstance will speak fear instead. Sharing the Word of God, telling people to be strong and to fear not, isn’t negating the difficult thing someone is going through or dismissing how they are feeling, but it might just be what they need to hear the most to find true comfort (with strength), to challenge the fear, to break the lies, to give some courage to move and that change is possible! We all need reminding regularly that God is greater than our struggles; that His love is stronger than our fears; that His promise is unfailing and that He is returning! We have to read verses 3-4 in the light of the next few verses about God’s justice and His salvation, that sorrow and sighing will flee away as joy and gladness is found! We need to hear it to believe it, our courage coming from the realisation that God is with us, that we can be strong and not fear because He is still working His purposes out for good! Who gives you the encouragement that you need to stand in faith? And who can you go and give that encouragement to? It might just be the most important thing we do today! 🙏🏼❤️‍🔥
