An agreement // 04-11-22

“In the same way, he took the cup of wine after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant between God and his people—an agreement confirmed with my blood. Do this in remembrance of me as often as you drink it.”” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭11‬:‭25‬ ‭NLT‬

The act of taking bread and wine is called communion, a word that on one level is defined as, ‘a close relationship with someone in which feelings and thoughts are exchanged.’ It speaks of intimate fellowship. In the case of a communion service, we get to share in the death of Jesus, remembering His body broken and His blood spilled for us; remembering God’s covenant of love, that invites us into relationship with Him, made possible through the work of the cross! It is so important that we don’t forget, that we are reminded regularly of the price Jesus paid and how dependant we are, and need to be, on Him! Lord, thank You for making a way back into close relationship with You, and thank You for giving us a way to remember, to stay thankful and faithful to the commitment we made to You, when we understood the commitment You had made to us. I have decided to follow Jesus, no turning back. Amen ❤️🙏🏼
