“I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counsellor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever—the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive [and take to its heart] because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He (the Holy Spirit) remains with you continually and will be in you.” John 14:16-17 AMP
This is another great promise from Jesus in this chapter of John! As I trust in His name and in all He has done for me, as I am forgiven and reconciled to God, living for His Kingdom and open to His leading, I get filled with the Holy Spirit, God comes and dwells in me, and that means whatever I go through, I can know that God is as close as close can be, that I have His comfort, His strength, His counsel, His wisdom, His resources to call on and to rely on. I am never abandoned by Him because He has promised to never leave me or forsake me, and that’s truth that I can put weight on no matter what feelings may come and go! Lord, thank You for Your promise that revives me, Your presence that is constantly with me, and Your purpose that fuels me. Help me to stand strong in Your truth today. Amen 🙌🏼😊
