“When the angels had returned to heaven, the shepherds said to each other, “Let’s go to Bethlehem! Let’s see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”” Luke 2:15 NLT
When the shepherds were told about Jesus they chose to make a response – to go and see for themselves! Hearing about Him didn’t automatically lead to believing in Him, but as they investigated they had their own encounter with Him that transformed fear to faith; that led to them telling others; that led to them praising and glorifying God! So many people will hear about Jesus this Christmas and there will be no response, so I’m praying, Lord, for curiosity to arise in those who hear Your name and the news of a Saviour; for a growing desire to ‘go and see,’ for divine encounters that bring about real change in people’s lives, for seekers to become witnesses, and worriers to become worshippers! Amen 🙌🏼😊
